
ServSafe®
AVC Extended Learning offers managers at food service establishments, organizations, and vendors the opportunity to enroll in the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Course for both first-time certification and re-certification training and assessment. This course enables participants to obtain or renew their five-year certification required by the State of California, ensuring they are prepared to support and maintain proper food safety practices within their operations.
The course is held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute break. The cost is $159 and includes exam proctoring.
The ServSafe® Food Protection Manager's certification program covers essential food safety principles, including:
- Personal hygiene
- Time and temperature control
- Preventing cross-contamination
- Cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- Understanding and implementing the FDA Food Code
This training helps managers meet regulatory requirements while promoting safe food handling practices that protect both employees and the public.
Current Schedule:
Palmdale Center (Wednesdays): 4/1, 6/3, 8/5, 9/16, and 11/4
Lancaster Campus (Saturdays): 5/9, 7/11, 8/15, and 10/10
