AVC Palmdale Center Hosts Events for Women's History Month

Antelope Valley College will host two events at the Palmdale Center this March in celebration of Women’s History Month. AVC invites students, faculty and staff to reflect on the achievements, contributions and ongoing impact of women throughout history.

The first event, a viewing of Barbie, will take place on Wednesday, March 18, with the film streaming throughout the day in the Student Commons. Students are encouraged to stop by between classes to watch the film and connect with their peers.

Later in the month, on Wednesday, March 25, a Women’s History Discussion Panel will be held. During the panel, students, faculty and staff will share personal experiences and perspectives while engaging in an open discussion about leadership, empowerment and the importance of community support.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session, allowing students to connect directly with panelists and explore topics related to education, personal growth and advocacy.

Together, these events aim to foster dialogue, strengthen connections across campus and highlight the powerful contributions women have made to society and higher education.
