Antelope Valley College students interested in biology and creative expression are invited to participate in Pressed & Preserved, a hands-on botanical workshop hosted in the Sage Hall Learning Center.
Designed to complement the Flower Pressing Micro-Internship led by Professor Lena Coleman, the workshop introduces students to foundational plant biology through a relaxed, hands-on format guided by Learning Center tutors.
Participants will learn how to ethically collect, press, label and frame plant specimens while exploring key biological characteristics, including plant type, environment, seed structure and coloration.
Each attendee will leave with a finished pressed specimen that blends scientific study with artistic design.
With space limited to just 12 participants per session, early registration is strongly encouraged.
