AVC Housing Resources
Our Basic Needs Center works with students to identify, provide, and/or support housing options for our students facing homelessness or housing insecurity.
Housing Services Eligibility
- Housing services eligibility is determined after a student submits their Housing Support Application. To be considered for housing support through AVC, students must first meet the initial eligibility requirements listed below. Meeting these requirements allows a student to move forward in the review process but does not guarantee housing assistance or placement.
- Be experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity
- Be enrolled in 9 Units or more for the current semester
- Not be receiving housing support from another agency
- Be in good academic standing
- Have an updated Ed Plan with a declared current major and be working towards completion
- Be making academic progress according to their education plan
- If you meet the initial eligibility requirements, a member of our team will contact you to learn more about your situation. Every application is reviewed individually, and while we are committed to supporting students whenever possible, submitting an application or meeting the initial eligibility requirements does not guarantee housing assistance.
If a student is approved through our review process, they may be referred to one of our housing partners based on their individual needs and eligibility. The receiving agency will complete its own assessment and determine which housing services, if any, the student may qualify for based on available resources and program eligibility.
*Please note that housing resources are limited. While our team is committed to supporting students and connecting them with available services, referrals and housing assistance are not guaranteed. All referrals are made on a case-by-case basis and are subject to eligibility requirements and funding availability.
