Job Placement Center: Workshops & Orientations

The Antelope Valley College Job Placement Center is currently refreshing how we deliver career readiness support to better meet students where they are.

Rather than hosting limited-time workshops with fixed schedules, we are transitioning toward on-demand virtual resources and short instructional videos that students can access anytime. This updated approach allows students to receive guidance at their own pace while balancing classes, work, and personal responsibilities.

What to Expect Moving Forward

Our upcoming virtual resources will focus on core career topics, including:

• Resume development and improvement

• Interview preparation and confidence-building

• Effective job search strategies

• Using Handshake to find jobs, internships, and career opportunities

• Preparing for on-campus and off-campus employment

These resources will be designed to be practical, easy to follow, and accessible year-round.

Students are encouraged to:

• Log into Handshake to explore opportunities and career tools

• Contact the Job Placement Center for individualized support or questions

• Check back regularly as new virtual resources are added
